Teaneck – Infrastructure Advancement Program (IAP)
IAP Teaneck Substation
PSE&G is making investments that will provide the enhanced reliability for customers and to help New Jersey achieve its clean energy goals. With its Infrastructure Advancement Program (IAP), PSE&G is expected to invest $511 million to modernize PSE&G’s electric distribution systems, providing customers with improved reliability, including during extreme weather. The IAP also includes “Last Mile” investments that prepare the electric grid for the rapid transition to electric vehicles and enable a greater blend of renewable energy resources by increasing the reliability of the state’s electric grid down to the street and neighborhood level.
Activity Overview
- Modernizing electric circuits.
- Upgrading 42 aging electric substations. five aging electric substations and four aging natural gas metering and regulating stations.
- Transfer existing 4kV Teaneck supply and feeder circuits from old 4kV switchgear to new 4kV switchgear.
- The project is estimated to be completed by 2027.
